Wheat Allergy

Although more common in children, wheat allergies can impact adults too. Those who suffer from a wheat allergy have an abnormal immune response to the specific proteins in wheat. Wheat allergies can range from mild symptoms such as nausea to life-threatening allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis.
Different from celiac disease, it’s possible to be allergic to wheat and suffer from celiac disease.

Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity
